Cheng Fang is currently a Principal Scientist in Cheminformatics & Computational Chemistry at Blueprint Medicine, US. Prior to that, Cheng worked as a computational scientist at Biogen on small molecule drug discovery for about 3 years. He obtained his PhD in computational science at University of Pittsburgh, where he worked with Prof. Peng Liu on development of quantitative computational models for prediction of the mechanism, dynamics, reactivity and selectivity in organic and polymer chemistry reactions. Before his PhD, Cheng earned two Master of Science degrees in computer-aided drug discovery and medicinal chemistry. Also, he has a great passion and rich experience in data science, machine learning and cheminformatics from both academia and industry training.
